1. Definitions
The following terms have these meanings throughout this document. Where a term is capitalised it carries this meaning.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "Site" | The website operated at https://pdff.online, together with any subdomain, mobile, or progressive web application version of it. |
| "Service" | Any tool, function, or feature made available through the Site, including but not limited to merging, splitting, rotating, compressing, converting, OCR, redaction, annotation, form filling, signing, page numbering and metadata handling. |
| "User", "you", "your" | The person or legal entity accessing the Site. |
| "Document" | Any PDF, image, spreadsheet, or word-processing file that you open, process, or export through the Site. |
| "Local Processing" | Document handling performed entirely within your web browser, without transmission of Document contents to a server operated by or for the Site operator. |
| "Personal Data" | Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, as defined by applicable data protection law, including the UK GDPR, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, or equivalent local legislation. |
| "Controller" and "Processor" | The roles allocated under applicable data protection law. The Site operator is a Controller of the Personal Data described in the Privacy Policy. The Site operator is not a Processor in respect of Documents, because Documents are not transmitted to or processed on the operator's systems. |
| "Third-Party Provider" | An operator of a separate service integrated with, linked to, or advertised on the Site, including analytics and advertising providers, hosting and payment providers, and any affiliate-linked provider. |
| "Operator" | The natural person or entity that publishes and operates the Site, reachable at accts.pak@gmail.com. |
Terms of Use
Please read section 5 carefully. It describes, tool by tool, what these tools genuinely cannot do. Several of the limitations below have caused real harm in the past, particularly around redaction, and the honest version of this document is more useful to you than a clean feature list would be.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you and the Operator. By accessing or using the Service you accept these terms on behalf of yourself, and where you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.
If you do not accept these terms, do not use the Service. If you accept them and later wish to stop using the Service, you may do so at any time; there is no account to close and no data to retrieve, because none is held.
2. What the Service is
The Service provides free utilities for manipulating PDF and related documents, executing primarily through Local Processing in your web browser. No registration is required and no account is created.
The Service is provided as described on the Site and in section 5, not as a professional service. It is not legal, financial, tax, medical, or forensic advice, and it does not provide an accredited document signing service.
3. Eligibility and acceptable use
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, and at least 18 years of age or the age of digital consent where that is lower.
You agree not to:
- Process a Document you do not have the right to process, including where doing so infringes copyright, database rights, confidentiality, or any privilege.
- Use the Service to create, distribute, or facilitate unlawful material.
- Distribute malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, including the Site's infrastructure.
- Use automated means to scrape, crawl, overload, or systematically harvest the Site, its assets, or its outbound links, except where the access is by a search engine crawler respecting robots.txt.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works from the Service, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law, including for interoperability where a lawful exception applies.
- Misrepresent your affiliation with, or endorsement by, the Operator, or use the Site's name or marks in a way that suggests approval.
- Use the Service to violate export control, sanctions, or court order obligations.
4. Your rights in Documents, and our licence to process them
Your Documents remain entirely yours. The Operator claims no intellectual property rights in any Document you open, process, or export, and asserts no lien over them.
To the extent the Service performs Local Processing in your browser, you grant no licence to the Operator in respect of Document contents, because no Document contents reach the Operator.
Where a feature necessarily transmits content to a third party, the limited licence required to do so is conferred by your act of using that feature. In the case of AI Document Architect, you grant Google a licence to process the prompt text you submit in order to return a draft, under Google's own API terms. This licence does not extend to the Document itself, which is not transmitted.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your use of the Service and your Documents complies with every law applicable to you, including export control, data protection, sector-specific regulation, and professional licensing rules.
5. Known limitations of the tools
Document processing is automated. It can fail, and it can produce results you did not expect. The following limitations are inherent to how these tools work and are not defects that will be fixed.
| Tool | Limitation and its practical consequence |
|---|---|
| Redact PDF | The opaque box is drawn over the page content. The text beneath remains in the file and can be recovered by selecting and copying it, by searching the document, or by running OCR. This is not secure redaction. For material covered by a court order, a regulatory disclosure, an NDA, or a subject-access request, do not rely on this tool. Remove the underlying content before releasing the file, or use software designed for certified redaction. |
| Password protect PDF and unlock PDF | Withdrawn and not available. These tools never applied encryption, and earlier versions of this Site described them as if they did. Rather than relabel the feature, it was removed. Use your operating system's or a reputable vendor's security tooling to apply a password. Note also that a PDF password cannot be recovered by any tool, including this one, and that strong PDF encryption requires a desktop product. |
| Fill PDF Forms | Works only on PDFs containing genuine AcroForm fields. Flat PDFs and scans have no fields to fill, and the tool will tell you this rather than presenting sample fields. XFA forms, which are what most banks and tax authorities issue, are not supported and require Adobe Acrobat. |
| PDF to Word | Converts selectable text. It does not perform OCR and does not reconstruct the layout of a scanned page. A scanned document will convert to a largely empty file. Run OCR first, then convert. |
| Compression | Targets are best-effort. Image-heavy or already-optimised files may not reach a strict size limit without visible quality loss. Confirm the exported file meets the requirement imposed by whatever service you are uploading to. |
| Digital signature | Applies a visible signature image and an audit entry. It is not a certificate-based digital signature under eIDAS or equivalent legislation, and does not carry the same legal weight as a qualified signature. Check what the receiving party requires. |
| OCR | Accuracy depends on scan quality. Handwriting, low-contrast text, tables, and unusual layouts will produce errors. Verify any output that will be relied upon. |
Always keep the original Document. Verify the exported result before relying on it, and never process your only copy of anything.
6. AI Document Architect
This feature sends prompt text you enter to Google's Gemini API. You are responsible for what you submit. Do not submit personal data, confidential information, or material you lack the right to send to a third party.
Generated output is produced by a third-party model. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable, and it carries no warranty of any kind. It is not legal, financial, medical, or tax advice, and it must not be relied upon without independent verification. The Operator does not review, store, or moderate prompt text or output.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
The Operator does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any time; that any Document will be processed correctly; that the results of any tool will meet the requirements of any authority, employer, court, or platform; or that the Service will detect every malformed or malicious file.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, or the limitation of liability for certain losses, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator is not liable for:
- loss of data, or corruption of a Document, however caused, including where a Document was the only copy;
- loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, or anticipated savings;
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss or damage;
- loss arising from reliance on the accuracy of a Document's contents, including a document you have redacted and then shared on the basis that this tool removed the underlying text;
- loss arising from a document signed with this Service being treated as, or rejected as, a legally sufficient signature;
- third-party claims arising from your use of the Service, including any claim that your use breached a duty owed to a third party;
- unavailability of a Third-Party Provider's service, including Gemini API, advertising, or analytics infrastructure.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service, which is nil, and USD 50. This cap does not apply to the exclusions above.
9. Intellectual property
The Site, including its name, design, layout, code, written content, tool implementations, and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to the Operator and protected by copyright and related rights.
You may access and use the Service for your own purposes. You may not copy, publish, or commercially exploit the Site's own content or design without written permission.
Your Documents are excluded from the ownership above. The Operator asserts no rights in your Documents.
10. Third-party providers and advertising
The Site may display advertising and may earn a commission from links to Third-Party Providers. All such links are disclosed. Details are set out in the Affiliate & Sponsor Disclosure.
The Operator does not control Third-Party Providers and is not responsible for their content, products, practices, privacy policies, or availability. A link does not constitute an endorsement unless expressly stated.
11. Advertising and your choices
Where advertising is shown, Google may use cookies to serve and measure it, and may serve advertising based on your prior activity on other sites. The Operator does not use personalised advertising profiles and does not sell personal data. You may opt out at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com. Declining advertising cookies does not degrade the Service, because every tool runs locally.
12. Reviews and user content
Any review the Operator publishes comes from a real person who used the Service and gave permission. The Operator does not fabricate, purchase, incentivise, auto-generate, or gate reviews by sentiment. Critical reviews are published. If you believe a published review is not genuine, email accts.pak@gmail.com.
If you submit content, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish it with your permission and to display it in connection with the Service. You retain all other rights. The Operator will not publish your name or words without consent.
13. Availability, changes and termination
The Operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. The Service is offered on an "as available" basis.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Because no account exists and no Documents are held, there is nothing to migrate and nothing to delete on the Operator's systems.
The Operator may restrict or block access where use presents a security risk to the Service or to other users, where it appears unlawful, or where it interferes with operation.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator against any claim, demand, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these terms, your violation of a third party's rights, or your processing of a Document you had no right to process. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim arises from the Operator's own act or omission.
15. Severability, waiver and entire agreement
If any provision is found unenforceable, it is severed and the remainder continues in force. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other document expressly incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and the Operator concerning the Service, and supersede all prior statements.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Before commencing proceedings, you agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting us. Most disputes are resolved by a single email. Where a dispute cannot be resolved this way, and to the extent permitted by applicable law, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
Where you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you retain the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and nothing in this clause removes that protection.
17. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The version and effective date at the top reflect the current revision. A change is identified in the revision note. Where a change materially reduces your rights, notice is given on the Site and, if you have provided an email address, by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms: accts.pak@gmail.com. The Operator is based in Pakistan. This document is written to be read; if any part is unclear, please ask before relying on it.
Frequently asked questions
Are the PDFs I process uploaded anywhere?
No. Document processing runs as JavaScript in your browser. The site operator receives no copy of your documents, which is why the privacy policy records zero retention for document contents.
Is the redaction tool secure for confidential documents?
No, and the terms say so explicitly. The black box is drawn over the page content, and the text underneath remains in the file and can be recovered by selecting it, searching the document, or running OCR. Do not use it for material covered by a court order, an NDA, or a disclosure request.
Can I password-protect a PDF with this site?
No. Those tools were withdrawn because they never applied encryption, and earlier versions of this site described them as though they did. Use your operating system or a reputable vendor's security tooling instead. A lost PDF password cannot be recovered by any tool.
Why will the form filler not work on my PDF?
It requires genuine AcroForm fields. Flat PDFs and scans have no fields to fill, and the tool will say so rather than showing sample fields. XFA forms, which most banks and tax authorities issue, require Adobe Acrobat and are not supported.
Is the signature I add legally binding?
The tool applies a signature image and an audit entry. It is not a certificate-based digital signature under eIDAS or equivalent legislation, so it does not carry the same weight as a qualified signature. Check what the receiving party requires.
Is the Service suitable for official or legal submissions?
Only with care. The tools are provided without warranty, processing is automated, and several tools have documented limitations that could affect a filing. Keep the original, verify the output, and confirm the receiving authority's requirements before submitting.
