Cookie Notice
Why this notice is short
Because there is very little to list. Every tool on the Service executes in your browser, so no cookie is required for any feature to function. Declining cookies costs you nothing but the analytics.
1. How consent is obtained
Nothing non-essential loads until you agree to it.
- Analytics and advertising are OFF by default. They are not pre-ticked, not bundled into an "accept all", and not enabled by continuing to browse. If you close the tab without choosing, neither ever loads.
- A banner offers three separate choices — necessary, analytics, advertising — so you can accept one without the other.
- Your choice is stored locally so the banner does not reappear on every visit, and you can change it at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.
- Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honoured automatically. If your browser sends a privacy signal, non-essential scripts are never loaded and the banner is not shown at all. A privacy signal is treated as a decision already made, not as a preference to ask about.
The tool pages and the articles are not treated alike. The tool pages use analytics to find broken pages, so they carry the consent banner. The guides and legal pages ship without any tracking script at all, and are deliberately undercounted rather than tracked without asking.
What no consent category covers. Your documents. There is no consent toggle that governs your files, because there is no upload for any category to receive. Processing is local, and nothing in this notice, and no provider acting under it, changes that.
2. What counts as a cookie here
This notice covers cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies, because from your perspective they work the same way. Some of what we store never leaves your device at all, which is covered here too so that nothing is hidden.
3. Complete inventory
This is every storage mechanism the Service uses. Nothing else is set.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Count visits, see which tools are used, identify broken pages | Analytics | Up to 2 years; user-level data 14 months |
| Consent state | Operator | Remembers your choice so you are not asked repeatedly | Essential | Until cleared |
NID | Used by embedded YouTube content where present. Not set unless a YouTube embed loads. | Third-party | Up to 6 months | |
pdff_success_count | Operator | Records how many tasks you completed, so the review prompt only appears after genuine use | Local storage, never transmitted | Until you clear site data |
| Purge timestamp | Operator | Powers the workspace countdown display | Local storage, never transmitted | Until you clear site data |
| Language preference | Operator | Remembers your language selection | Local storage, never transmitted | Until you clear site data |
| Advertising cookies | Adsterra and partners | Serve and measure advertising. Set only if advertising is enabled and you consent. | Advertising | Up to 13 months |
4. Local storage that never leaves your device
Some values are stored in your browser's local storage and are never transmitted anywhere. They are not cookies, they are not shared with any provider, and they carry no tracking identifier. This includes the task counter, the purge timestamp, and your language preference.
You can remove them at any time by clearing site data for https://pdff.online in your browser settings, and doing so has no effect on the Service.
5. Analytics
Google Analytics 4 tells the Operator which pages are visited, the referrer, approximate location, device, and timestamp. This is used to find broken pages and to prioritise maintenance.
Analytics cannot see the contents of any Document, because Documents are never transmitted. Analytics may not be loaded at all where your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, in which case no analytics data is collected.
Google processes IP addresses under its own terms. Google's own retention applies to the data it holds.
You can opt out of Google Analytics entirely using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Advertising cookies
If advertising is enabled, Adsterra and its advertising partners may set cookies to serve ads relevant to your activity and to limit how often you see the same advertisement. In some jurisdictions, advertising cookies may only be set with your consent, and the Service is not permitted to serve advertising to browsers that have not consented.
The Operator does not use personalised advertising profiles, does not build a profile of you across other websites, and does not sell personal data to advertisers.
You may opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com. The advertising provider is Adsterra; no Google advertising service is used on this Site, so Google's ad settings have no effect here.
7. How to control cookies
- Browser settings. Block third-party cookies in your privacy settings. Every tool continues to work, because none of them depends on a cookie.
- Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control. Honoured; analytics is not loaded.
- Clear site data. Removes the local storage values described in section 3.
- Opt-out tools. As linked above for Google Analytics and advertising.
8. Do Not Track
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are honoured automatically. When a supported browser sends either signal, analytics and advertising are never loaded and the consent banner is not shown. The signal is treated as a decision you have already made rather than as a preference to be asked about.
Your browser controls this. In Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari the setting is in the privacy section of your browser settings.
9. Changes to this notice
This notice is updated whenever a cookie is added, removed, or its purpose changes. The version and effective date at the top reflect the current revision. Material changes are announced on the Site.

Frequently asked questions
Does declining cookies break the tools?
No. Every tool executes locally in your browser and depends on no cookie at all. Blocking third-party cookies, or enabling Do Not Track, removes the analytics and nothing else.
What exactly is stored on my own device?
Three local-storage values that never leave your device: a counter of tasks you have completed, a timestamp used by the workspace countdown, and your language preference. You can remove them by clearing site data for the domain.
Can analytics see the contents of my document?
No. Analytics records page views, referrer, approximate location, device and timestamp. Because documents are processed locally and never transmitted, there is no document content for analytics to observe.
No analytics on this page
This page ships without a tracking script. Aggregate analytics are collected only on the tool pages, and only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Your documents are processed locally and are never transmitted. See the privacy policy.
