About pdff.online
pdff.online is a free suite of PDF tools — merge, split, rotate, crop, compress, OCR, redact, annotate, sign, fill forms, page-number, convert and more — that run entirely inside your browser. No account, no upload, no file reaching a server.
Why it is built this way
Most online PDF tools upload your document to a server, process it there, and delete it afterwards. That creates a window in which a payslip, a contract, a medical form or anything else you are handling sits on someone else's machine, under someone else's retention policy, reachable by anyone who compromises that machine.
Here the document never leaves your device. Parsing runs as JavaScript in the tab you already have open. That is not a feature added for marketing reasons; it is the architecture, and it is why the privacy policy can promise something most competitors cannot.
What that means in practice
- You can disconnect from the internet mid-session and the tools keep working.
- The operator cannot read your documents, so it cannot leak them.
- There is no upload to encrypt, store, subpoena, or accidentally share.
- Your documents are not ours to keep, which also means they are not ours to lose.
- There is no document database, so there is nothing for a breach to expose.
You can verify this yourself in about thirty seconds: open any tool, load a PDF, and watch your browser's network panel. There is no upload request. That is the entire claim, and it is directly observable.
Who builds it
pdff.online is an independent project by Fazal Shahid Latif, a developer and mentor based in Karachi, Pakistan, published under the SaaSSKul product family.
It is run by one person alongside other work. Support is answered by that person, which is why the contact page states a realistic response time rather than promising round-the-clock service.
What this site used to claim, and why it was removed
Several statements previously published here were not true. They have been removed, and the corrections are listed publicly rather than quietly deleted.
| Previously claimed | Why it was removed |
|---|---|
| 4.95 stars from 14,280 reviews | There was no review system. The ratings were typed into the page by hand and the reviewer names were invented. Full explanation. |
| "Google Verified Partner" and "Verified Google Customer Reviews" | No such verification existed. The site was not, and is not, a Google partner. |
| "GDPR compliant" and "HIPAA" | No site can declare itself compliant, and no evidence of compliance was ever held. The privacy policy now sets out what is actually true. |
| "AES-256" encryption on PDF password tools | Those tools never encrypted anything. They were withdrawn rather than relabelled, and the false metadata they stamped into exported files was removed from the engine. |
| "Permanent, irreversible redaction" | The tool draws a box over content and the text underneath survives. Documented honestly in the terms. |
| Denial of participation in private blog networks | Removed as an unnecessary claim about something nobody had alleged. The disclosure page now describes what the site actually does commercially. |
We would rather be accurate and small than impressive and wrong. If you find something here that is not true, tell us and it will be fixed.
Business model
The tools are free, with no account and no trial period. The site is funded by advertising and by commission from clearly-marked links to providers we have used, where you choose to buy something. Your documents are never part of any business model, because we never receive them.
The full arrangement is set out in the affiliate and sponsor disclosure, including what money cannot buy.
Technology
Built with React and Vite, using pdf-lib for document manipulation and Tesseract for OCR.
Published as a progressive web app that works offline once loaded. Hosted on Vercel.
The source is public on GitHub so the architecture can be inspected rather than taken on trust.
No analytics on this page
This page ships without a tracking script. Aggregate analytics are collected only on the tool pages, and only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Your documents are processed locally and are never transmitted. See the privacy policy.
